Thought I would make a new post for this section of the kitchen.
The wall where the kitchen sink and uppers does not have a window. Oh no!….kit bashing time again . Open a window on the kit. This is becoming quite the regular event. Closing windows here and there to make room for furniture and then opening them somewhere else to make sense. In this case a sink without a view to the outside didn’t seem right.
Another kit bashing occurred with the uppers I had purchased. Sometimes I think it may be better to build as you go. But it is hard to not purchase the lovely little cupboards when you think they are just right and ready to install. Here I cut one in half since I did not have enough room to use the whole unit due to the opening of the window.
I have not installed the uppers in place until I finish the window and frame but here is a picture of the wall with the bottoms installed and now have added green tile to pull in the green colour from the floor linoleum as well as a little accent mosaic. Was tempted to use some white and blue tile…to bring in a little of my Portuguese heritage but that just didn’t fit….by gosh…I may just be getting the hang of this. (pat on the back)
